Ok so I got my new 4.10 gears and i'm doing the install but i've run into a problem . When I put everything in the pinion isn't sitting right , there is a small gap in between the dust shield so when I slightly push forward(away from driveshaft) the gears start to bind but when it is slightly pushed back(towards drive shaft) the gears rotate fine. I used the original spacer from the old pinion so it should work.Also I have used a impact and tightened down on it but the crush washer hasn't changed. What next???

You have to replace the crush sleeve. There less that $5 why wouldn't you have done this.

The crush sleeve is new . .

What are you tightening it down with? I use an impact gun, but i've also done 100s of 8.8s so I know whats tight.

Are you sure its shimmed correctly?

I misunderstood your "the crush sleeve hasn't changed" comment. To me it sounds like the sleeve hasn't crushed or it isn't shimmed correctly
