Default keep bottoming out...please help

I put on some Eibach lowering springs which I love but any small pothole or dip sounds like a small explosion. I spoke to a mechanic today that told me my shocks are working fine. I have OEM shocks on now. The mechanic tells me I should put the original ones back on and have them "heat shrunk" which sounds like b/s.

I am guessing that it's your exhaust that is hitting. I had eibach sportlines on mine and rarely bottomed out, even with LT headers. You need to try and tuck the exhaust closer to the body.

time for a new mechanic. do not add heat to the stock springs.............. Stock shock and struts will not last on a lowered vehicle. yes they are working but they are overworking. When you get new shocks and struts read the small print and make sure you get some that are for lowered suspension

Another issue is that lowering most any car will make the suspension rougher and noisier, particularly on heavier cars with wide/heavy wheels and tires.

So, depending on the severity of what you are experiencing, it may be "normal"...

It probably is your exhaust. My mid pipe hits over any speed bump. You learn to drive different. Its worth it though
