Default exhaust set up question

tomorow i will be adding 2 super 44 mufflers on my car, i believe that stock gts come with H pipe? i was wondering what will make me sound most nearest to this car sound?

if you want to sound that loud, you need to ditch the cats for an off road(catless) X pype

and yes, the stock gt's come with an h pype with 4 catalytic converters.

The guy in the video is running a o/r x pipe. If you want that sound you'll need to get one. Your o/r h will sound noticeably different than that...which would be a good thing IMO.

so from what im reading, when a car doesnt have cats, its considered O/R?
being that mine is catless. i am running an O/R H pipe with flowmasters?

ahh i see. and in your opinion was it good to pay 250$ to weld in 2 super 44's instead of buying a catback kit for 550$ when i dont even use cats?

Well i'm not sure how much the mufflers cost you, but it shouldn't cost you more than an hour or two of labor at a muffler shop. Those kind of shops around here charge around $50-$60 per hr.

I didn't realize Flowmaster cat backs were that expensive now. The ones i remember were like $400 or so brand new.

Shoot my SSS catback is mirror polished 304 stainless steel, and i think it retails for around $360 these days.
