Default How do I know if front wheel bearing is bad

I'm curious if my front wheel bearing is bad. When I turn only the the right going above 35 I feel a tapping in the wheel and floor. Also driving on the freeway I get a bad vibration like my wheels are unbalanced when I move the wheel slightly to the right or left so it pulls to that direction. There is noise though.

Excessive noise is obviously your first clue. Sounds can be something like grinding or at higher speeds more of a howl. In essence the noise speed is directly effected by vehicle speed.

Pulling to one side is also a symptom.

Why don't you do this. Lift up the vehicle and grab the suspected bad side and pull and/or wiggle the wheel. If gives any sort of play replace your wheel bearing.

I just dealt with this issue on my car. Honestly, if it squeaks loud enough to make you want to stab yourself with a soddering iron, 99.9999999% chance is the wheel bearing as the problem.

Additionally, on a serious note, Moonshines advice above is solid.

I had this problem when i perches my 02 GT 3 mo. It vibrate so bad i thought the floor was falling off. So i jack the front end up. Turn each wheel slowly and bam! ..i heard the grinding on the drivers side. It was a $40 fix but the pain to drive out the hub. Thought i would never pull it. So if you have a puller then your good to go! ...once you get that out of the way make sure you use some wheel grease on the spindle part. But not so much it makes a mess. Any hoot! Good luck.
