Default MSD spark plug wires. worth it?

Would these spark plug wires burn fuel more efficiantly since there are lesser Ohms compared to everything else (almost). Would i feel a difference or hear a difference?

No, unless your existing wires are shot...

Well, in the first your 2002 does not have plug wires¹...

As to the OP's '97 however he should check them for cracks, dis-colourization, or burnt smell on the boots; contamination (oil, grease, ???), open the hood at night and look for arcing...

-------------------------------------------------
¹ - From '99 up Mustangs have used Coil-On-Plug (COP) technology which eliminates the need for classic plug wires. They do however have a spring-like conductor and rubber insulating boots that can deteriorate--good news is they can be replaced (if cracked, dis-coloured, burnt, etc.) for $3 a pop...

Nothing is wrong with my wires. Car runs fine. I'm just lookin to spend something for an upgrade and wondered if MSD spark plug wires were even worth it. Looks like i'l just stick with some regular OEM spark plug wires.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it...

After market plug wires, coil packs, and COPs (on the '99+ models) are perhaps the largest single repository of virtual snake-oil out there.

Years ago when we all ran distributors, distributor caps, rotors, points, condensers, and wires there was great potential for upgraded ignition components.

However with the advent of DIS wasted spark, and COP, ignition systems the unfortunate fact (from the perspective of after market purveyors) is that the OEM ignition systems are about as good as they need to be.

They still push that crap, but that was then, this is now...
