Well fuel filter wasn't it....I replaced it but now its getting worse. It's "hiccupping" in all gears regardless of how high my RPMs are...the cel also came on, gonna get it checked out tomorrow. Any ideas?

Get the code and tell us what it is. But if I had to guess you have a misfire from a bad coil or injector

It was the plugs....as soon as I changed them the car is back to running great and cel is off! Thanks for the help...

If he has stock gears then 5th at 45mph is just right (shifting at 2k). And my 96 GT, stock, will accelerate decently in 5th minus steep hills. So it's certainly possible it's not just his perception that there's something wrong.

Well it wasn't the fuel filter...ended up being plugs. Replaced them yesterday and she runs like a dream again! Thanks for the input
