Flowmasters with an o/r h pipe would sound great.

With the loss if back pressure you might experience a loss of low end torque but will gain more power in the higher rpms.

Isn't it kind of obvious if a car doesn't have cats...all a cop has to do is bend over and look under your car...right?

Plus since it's illegal, no muffler shop would take them off for me.

depends on what state/county your in. in the state of louisiana, it is illegal to do any work to your exhaust other than replacing the factory system, or producing the same sound as stock. retarded, yes, but its not enforced, hence why there are tons of muffler shops still in business. its just an additional violation the cops can tag on to gain revenue.

the questions about back pressure can be answered if you check out cliffyk's website www.paladinmicro.com. forgot which section its in, but im sure you can find it. most of the claims made are myth only.

There is a lot of bad information circulating around in here.... first here is the link on cliffyk's website you need to read http://www.paladinmicro.com/document...ureMyth-II.pdf

Second... mustangs with straight pipes don't sound nice, mean, awesome, cool or anything other than crap. Save your money and buy a real exhaust system instead of being a cheap bastard and just cutting yours off.

when I was putting on my loudmouth, just for giggles I ran the car without mufflers at all, just straight out of the stock H and while it was loud as *****, it really had no tone or sound to it at all. If you want a little more sound then just dump the exhaust AFTER the muffler.
