Default Valve Cover Swap.. HELP!!!!

I have a couple questions. I own a 2000 mustang GT with a 4.6l SOHC engine and recently the engine blew. So I went a baught a engine out of a 2001 mustang thinking it should be exactly the same everything. Everything I needed to swap over from my 2000 mustang engine is fitting like my intake and such but one of the valve covers on the 2001 mustang engine was cracked and I tried to swap the cover off of the 2000 mustang engine to the new 2001 engine but it wont fit? Should it be the same =[]?? maybe you guys can tell me what else is gonna be different umm also since there different I need a good website to buy stock nothing special cheap valve covers. Thanks.

windsor vs romeo motors, thats the issue.

I understand now though I read up on the history of how in 99-00 they used windsor and in 01-04 they use the romeo ones and the only difference is the valve covers time chain bolt pattern and cam gears or something. Glad to know that my other stuff will work and there both PIs. With the Romeo and Windsor do you think ill have more power with the Romeo?
