driving home , my manual 97 gt got stuck in 5th gear and i couldnt get it out. it had happened before but i got it up on the highway and started driving and it came out and worked fine, this time i tried driving it a couple times in 5th gear from 0mph and i could smell burning. i finally got some guy to tow my car up to the highway and i started driving, and it came out like i predicted, then i started playing with the stick to make sure it was loose. i went into a gear, it grinded and i smelled the burning again and i couldnt get it into gear anymore, and was stuck on the side of the road for a while. im trying to figure out if its the clutch or the tranny?!?!
