Default Engine Swap

I have a 1998 mustang GT SOHC and I want to swap it out for a 2004 Mustang GT engine but keep my 1998 transmission do to a tight budget. My question is: is this possible and what special modifications do I need to do and buy to make this work. Please help be as detailed as possible please

What you want to do is probably the CHEAPEST engine swap you can do. You shouldn't NEED to buy anything to make it run. If there is nothing wrong with your trans then don't get rid of it. You should keep your coil packs and not even bother with the Coil on Plug style that the 99-04 has. Obviously you're going to need new fluids (antifreeze, oil, t-fluid)

If you retain your coil packs it should be 100% swap and go, no need to modify anything. If you know how to swap an engine or have someone experienced helping you then you shouldn't run into any problems.
