Default ABS Motor Keeps Running

I have a 2000 Ford Mustang Gt with a 2001 Ford Mustang GT romeo 4.6l engine in it which I just had put in about a week ago. My problem is that when I cut the car off the Motor for the Brakes keeps running. Im not sure what could be causing this I unhooked it for now. Keeping it parked and off the road till I figure it out.

My guess is it a relay issue.Staying energized.
Or a ABS module on the fritz

When you swapped engines did you swap any thing else--wiring harness, PCM, instrument cluster, ABS module?

The pump relay is part of the ABS module, major differences are that on the 2000 the t/c switch communicates with ABS module via the instrument cluster to turn t/c on or off. On the 2002 the switch is connected directly to the ABS module. The PCM is involved in all of this as well...

When the engine was put in we used the wiring harness that came on the 2001 romeo engine we didn't mess with any of that. The abs motor is still the original one I was using with the 2000 engine. ALso where is the ABS relay located jw? If i end up unhooking the ABS engine completely will it really make a huge affect not having abs besides in case of slamming on the break. We left everything original besides the new 2001 romeo engine everything is 2000 stuff that was working with the Windsor. Then romeo engine had all basic stuff on it though and we threw a new clutch on it that was it and hooked everything up from that point. If it is a stuck relay which idek much about stuff like that is the relay switch its self located on the motor somewhere or is it mounted somewhere else?

LOL ...Guess you could just pull the fuse a say **** the ABS.
But may affect the traction control crap and adjust timing.

Im pretty sure CliffyK could answer that one

I have looked at the schematics and have not come up with anything, the ABS pump relay is in the ABS module which is part of the whole ABS assembly at the front passenger side.

There were changes in the ABS and t/c control circuits in late 2001 but I cannot determine what might keep the pump running with the key off???

Have you tried pulling fuse #29 in the Central Junction Box (under the dash)--does that shut it off?
