Default Are Shorties Worth It???

So all my mods are listed in my sig with the exception of the Predator tuner. It is being replaced by a SCT with a 91 octane tune and 100 octane tune from Steeda.

I live in California and the emission laws out here so strict that long tubes are out of the question, and forced induction is not in the plans for this motor.

How much could I really expect from adding shorty headers?
Any HP guesses?

I'm guessing it's going to cost me around $800 so I need to decide if its worth it.

Thanks guys.

Absolutley not, shorties wont even net you a 5rwhp gain.

$800 for just adding Shorty headers; I'd advise not to. That's a good $800 that can go elsewhere and make you feel a difference. I can't see what other mods you have since I'm reading the forums on the mobile version, but the 91 Oct should make a good improvement. What did you want only headers for, performance gains or sound?

I was considering them for the performance factor alone, the sound is just a bonus. But if I can't even get 5RWHP with all my mods I don't think its worth it.

My mods:
INTAKE:BBK Fender Wall Induction, 75mm Throttle Body, 75mm Intake Plenum

EXHAUST:Magnaflow True X-Pipe, Flowmaster cat back

SUSPENSION:Tokico D-Specs, Steeda Sport Springs, Steeda Bump Steer kit, Steeda 4 Bolt Aluminum Caster Camber Plates, Hotchkis Rear Upper and Lower Control Arms, Steeda Strut Tower, 17X10.5 rears w/ nitto 555r 315's

OTHER: Diablo Sport Predator Tune, Spec Stage 3 Clutch and Light Flywheel,
Ford Racing 3.73s, Steeda Underdrive Pulleys, Eaton Posi Differential.

So you can see headers are kind of the last big NA bolt on for me but its just so pricey!

Haha wow that's much more than I had expected! Yeah you're right, with what you have I would be looking at headers to top it off too. But yeah I would leave the headers off, for the price its not a big gain.
