Default Spotting A Mid Pipe Exhaust

Hey Everyone,

So the engine and transmission are completely out of my car. I decided I will be buying a full exhaust system while the engine is out. On craigslist I found someone willing to sell a Bassani mid pipe for 100$ (as opposed to the new price of 540$). What should I look for when I buy this exhaust? Anything to prove it is authentic? Any other suggestions would be great.

Thanks,

Clark

I am assuming this is a O/R pipe. If not, that is a great deal for a catted one, provided the cats aren't clogged.

Mine has bassani stamped on the actual cross-over part. Make sure you have the insert that goes in on the driver side of the pipe, where it mounts to your exhaust manifold. Mine was missing when I got it and I had a bad leak there. (UPR sells em for 14 bucks if it is missing)

Check for rust, holes, etc.....

Just bought it, the x-pipe is catted! Looks brand new, the guy claims it was used for 80 miles.

I believe I found the part on americanmuscle, and on americanmuscle the description says manual only. Any idea why this is the case, and if my car is automatic what i will have to do to make it fit?
