I have a '98 GT that does not have cruise control.

I know that with most "dealer installed items" the wiring harness is in the car. If the option is not used they just leave it taped up hidden.

I know cruise control is not the same as say a tow package. Just curious if I can junk yard a few parts and get it to work in my car.

Yes. It is possible to do this. I do not have a link readily available to give you a parts list or anything, but I am pretty sure they sell kits out there you can install.

If you want to junkyard it, I would grab a Haynes manual and find it in there and you could determine what parts are needed and go grab them up cheap. Good luck with it.
