4:10 gear question

Default 4:10 gear question



if i put 4:10 gears in a drove like a grandma would i get my normal gas milege to the gallon as i would with the 2:73's?</P>


How much to the gallon (LESS)would i get with 4:10's</P>

no..but your can skip gears
the ole 1-2-4-5 or 1-2-3-5
or 2-3-5
about 2-5 less

First off...not to be rude...IT'S A MUSTANG...NOT A CIVIC.
Second, it won't hurt gas mileage all that much.

i have 4.10's in my 97 gt and when i drive normal my gas isnt to far off from before!

they didn't affect my gas mileage too much... that was until i had the heads and cams intalled. still awaiting a tune for that. </P>

4.10s are great i love them....they dont kill the mileage that much but you will noticea difference depending on if you're really laying into the throttle....try to keep the rpms under 2grand and you'll get great gas mileage when you arent racing it or picking on people mkay?....luv jenna

RPM under 2 K?...what do you drive an automatic, common Jenna be honest...otherwise agree with you, gears are great, my gas mileage is suffering but who cares. Buy a Minicooper if that 's an issue LOL<IMG src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0"></P>
