Thoughts on the 97 cobra
#12
I had a 97 Cobra with gears, pulleys, intake, exhaust, short throw shifter, aluminum drive shaft, lowered about 1.6" all around. Was moderately fast. I'll put it to you like this, she showed me all she had...she was fast..but not fast enough for me. I need more than 3.73s w/330hp.
It was a fun car though. I'd own another if I could turn it in to a drag car to run 8s.
Only Mustang I've ever owned. But with that being said I've say over all it was a 6. Ultimately a fun car to drive but nothing special, really. Congratulations on the car. It's a fun car. Mine had no problem spinning through 2nd and frequently chirping 3rd.
Purchase gears, long tube headers, exhaust and a tune. If $ provides, do cams. You'll be straight for a while. No skittles.

When you state you have 330hp that means rear wheel horsepower, Unless you pulled your engine and it was hooked up to a portable fuel supply and ran on an engine dyno for numbers, otherwise there is no way to measure engine HP. If your are simply added numbers up you thing you gained for mods you have, well it just doesn't work that way.
