Default Making my GT into an amature racer

Well a bit ago i decided id build a stroker setup after doing extensive research i turned away from that and decided to save and build a race car for the track days at VIR i live only an hour away and it would give me the much needed relaxation and personal time i need just racing it in my free time. So i have come for the opinions of my fellow mustang lovers for what i should do with the car my plan below is what id like to do with the car and have not really decided on any particular brand as of yet so help me out guys with the setup for my track monster!

I decided to buy a used SVT engine off ebay and build that once dropped in ill sell the GT engine and gain a good bit of money back

Break up grade to 4 piston calps and high performance breaks

Coil overs

Sub frame connectors

Roll cage

Drilled and slotted rotors

Back seat delete (i will leave dash and passenger seat i will be driving it to the track and driving it around some and would like the interior to remain good looking)

Stand alone fuel management system

slightly higher than standard SVT injectors

Fuel pump upgrade

Stage 3 clutch w/ aluminum flywheel

drive shaft upgrade w/ safety loop

wider rear tires w/ performance track tires

The exhaust will be changed to that of a Cobra R (sorry i love the look im aware its somewhat restrictive)

Cobra R front with splitter

engine mount upgrades

T-5 Trans

From what i have been told if i can plant about 500 hp to the ground with figures just above that in TQ it will be plenty at VIR to keep up with 90% of people out there after that its all the driver

Im plenty open to suggestions cant wait to here what you guys have to say

is your SVT motor a pushrod? If not your gonna have to get a different trans and loose the t-5, unless someone makes an adapter to mate a t-5 to a mod motor.

You need A LOT of suspension mods lol. Don't focus on the power too much right now. That SVT motor has 390 hp stock. That should be plenty until you learn how to mange the power.

My plan was to do the engine first as i think the stock suspension will handle that power okish
after which ill be doing LSD with coil overs

wow, nice spending limit! like i said above, just go racing like you are and then upgrade as you need to. but if that money is burning a hole in your pocket, look at the mm grip box. that engine setup you have along with the mm setup with a set of sticky tires will be a nice setup. gears would be a step forward and a set of front cobra brakes. dont forget seats and harnesses. a car is only as fast as its driver and they will help you stay planted as you corner hard
