Default Transmission Help?

Ok, so as it says in my signature, the trans is stock. When I received the car, it had an MGW Short Throw Shifter in it. Then I broke the bushing but couldn't fix it. I had the shop put the stock one back in so i could get used to driving manual and a few weeks ago I put the MGW back in but I noticed that its not shifting as smoothly. Like its harder to get in to first and its harder to go through the gears. Suggestions are appreciated!

I do believe this is normal. The shifter is shorter and more direct, itll require a bit more force than stock. I understand you get used to it after a bit and then you fall in love with it....lol. I dont have one myself....yet, but this is what ive read in my research.
