Default Black 2000 Mustang GT

Hi, my name is Kelvin and I am 16. Just a few weeks ago I bought myself a 2000 Black Ford Mustang Gt (stock). I really like the car so far, and it has a lot of kick. My friend owns a 2002 Black Pontiac Trans am (Stock), and another guy at school a 2002 Camaro Z28 (stock). Both of these cars have beaten me on the street and I was wonderin what little mods I could do to the engine to get a little closer to there level....and what mods to do to the exterior like hood scoops and rims to make it the best looking car? like what sorta stuff could I do on a very minimal budget. Thanks a lot... just wantin a pimpin ride since its the first car.

Kelvin

Not to sound like an ***, but you should really be focusing more on driving rather then racing especially at your age. And spend big $$ on a first car is never good, chances are you will end up crashing it and then you'll be pi$$ed. I'm not the one to tell you that you can't mod your car a little bit and make it look a little better, but I really think that you should be focusing more on driving safe and not getting your liscence taken away and risking other peoples lives due to your inexperiance. If you want to mod a little then I would suggest a CAI, gears, exhaust and other little things, for exterior I would suggest a mach 1 chin spoiler, and grille delete, also rear bumper inserts, and lowering springs. But, please focus on the driving not the racing, atleast for now.

I forgot, if you HAVE to race, take it to the track, have fun and be safe.

Yea, I would suggest the apperance mods I mentioned as well as some good waxes, interior cleaner, tire shine, clay bar, and a nice weekend to do it on. Spend a day on the car, wash, dry, rims and tires, clay bar, wax, windows, clean the whole interior out, and take her for a nice drive smiling and being proud. Thats the bet reward of all. Trust me, if you do them all right, and take your time you will get ALL the looks. I also have a black GT and when it's cleaned up real nice everyone stares. Well, thats about it, if you need anything else or info on the things I'm talking about just ask or send me a PM and I'll be glad to help. Keep safe and enjoy your car!

IS it a 5 speed, or auto? J/W. I would do mid pipe and exhaust, gears, and lowering springs. Nothing feels better then shaking the ground as you roll through town.

Obviously, I don't know what your level of skill is with a manuel, but if you are new to it you can work on quicker shifts. Maybe that will give you a little edge over those guys.
