Eaton M116 on a 98GT??

So I've been looking around for a supercharger. I have just enough money to do the stock earon from a 03/04 cobra. Will this supercharged directly bolt on? What will be needed besides the air intake from a 03/04 cobra and the blower. Will I need bigger injectors? Better fuel rails? What? I can't really find any information in this installation. Please lead me In the right direction.

Doesn't fit. You would have to get a torque tech kit to make it fit. But it's much cheaper to slap a vortech on then that garbage heaton.

^agreed! http://www.moddedmustangs.com/forums...ower-cost.html

I will probably do that. What's the difference between the s-trim and the t-trim?

Rockwell28 02-12-2012 11:15 AM

s trim entry level blowers good up to like 600+rwhp an t trim can handle more than that without overspinning it. On a stock motor and a mild built motor an S trim is good enough
http://www.superchargersonline.com/i...age=page&id=83
and look over the "Vortech chart" http://www.superchargersonline.com/i...page=page&id=8

How much will a used vortech s-trim run me. What else will I need with it. Besides the supercharger, piping, fuel injectors.

check the link in post number 3 on this very thread. The reason i put it there was for you to see the cost of it. and an intercooler isnt a must in low boost applications especially a low boost centri car.
head unit
pipin
mounting bracket
injectors
fuel pump
factory maf will work(but a lightning maf is fine for non in) $79
oil lines
tap your oil pan and put in the fitting
it comes with a pulley already(the head unit)

and you can get a complete v1 s trim kit from ebay for 3grand bolt on ready

but again check the link to get a ballpark figure of cost new or used. http://www.moddedmustangs.com/forums...ower-cost.html

This was close, but if you read he's done the PI swap... so it's not on stock '98 heads/intake. The TT M112 set up will fit his car just fine.

The Eaton will give you more usable street power than the Vortech. It makes it down low in the RPM range.
Price is about the same at the end of the day if you do it right. It's really about matching the correct blower to your driving style/needs.

So the eaton and tork tech kit and all the parts needed is about the same price of a new or used centri? I always heard that the tork tech kit is almost equal in price to a Kenne bell kit which is above the 4grand range.

Question: Being that he did a pi swap wouldnt he have a bump in compression Ive heard that can also have an affect when it comes to different type of blowers.
