I have them with a bassani or/x pipe and sounds really good. I get compliments all the time. Really deep sound at idle. And low rpms. And due to the x pile gets a little raspy at high rpms. Definitely the best flowmaster mufflers

I had original 40s for 4 years now i have the 10series with a mac x with pypes hi flow cats and I love it no doubt. And in between the 40s and 10s I tried out
o/r x with 40s
0/r x with glass packs
o/r x with str8 pipe( that lasted 1 hour before i went back to the shop)
then the 40s went back on and i picked up the cats
after than I just wanted it abit louder but not the str8 pipe or str8 through mufller loud so I went with the 10 series and I love it and have no plans at all on changing them out. They are quite a bit louder at WOT than the original 40s and they are still deep at idle with minimal to no drone on the highway compared to my old 40s. I have them and love them try them out. I have a video of a semi-distant(15feet) exhaust clip in my sig.
