I use 10w30 is it safe the drop to a differ weight?
You want to use 5w20 on ford's4.6's There is not benefit to putting evier oil on your car.

what about the "high milage" oils? They do anything? Or is it just a another way of saying synthedic?

ive got about 17k on my engine and just started using royal purple about 4000k ago. the great thing is you dont have to change your oil for 6000 miles

No, will not hurt. I use Mobil1 5W20 in the winter & 5W30 in the summer. 5W20 is perdy thin, and when running it hard in the heat, you’ll burn some oil off…
