Default Headlight Switch ???

I have a 97 GT and I need to take out the speedo. How do you get the headlight switch off?

Thanks.

Under the switch **** is a metal tab use like a pick tool\small flathead screw driver or paper clip bent to pull tab and headlight switch **** will slide off switch rod

Found that the instrument panel didn't come out very far at all, maybe half an inch after removing retaining screws. Looked underneath to see if I could find a clamp to loosen the speedo cable, but couldn't see or feel one in that jumbled mess. I'd really like to change out the headlight switch and instrument panel lights, but seems impossible without unclamping the speedo cable to do so. I'd love to to do it myself, but the other option is to pay someone to do it. I would have to order BOTH types of headlight switch, as I dont know which type is installed for my 64 1/2, then return the other switch thats not applicable. All this cuz I can't seem to do it on my own. Any suggestions?
