Default 105 mph governor

When my car was still an automatic I was stuck with a 105 mph governor. I had a predator tuner and even that wouldn't take it off. Now that I've swapped the auto for a manual and even changed the PCM the 105 limiter is back to haunt me. Has anyone ever ran into this problem before. I have owned quite a few mustangs and have never seen one with a governer this low let alone one that can't be removed.

Thats crazy I think my tbirds governor kicks in at like 105 or 110mph. But when my stang use to be stock it topped out at like 143in germany and it wasn't even redlined. You have a tuner to take the limiter off?

Do you know what your strategy or boxcode/catch phrase are?

Strategy would be something like CVAF1, boxcode like DVA0. I have never seen one that low either (most are limiter ON at 180, OFF at 179) and would like to look up the tune and see it...

I will ask again, do you know what your strategy or boxcode/catch phrase are?

Strategy would be something like CVAF1, boxcode like DVA0. There will be a sticker on the PCM (behind the passenger side kick panel) that will have the boxcode (aka catchphrase) I wil likely be able to look up the stock tune (I have some 5700) and see if it came from the factory with a speed-limiter set that low.

Most GT tunes are set to have the speed limiter kick in at 180 mph, and out at 179...

I've never heard of a GT set that low either, I wonder if it was built as a rental car? That's the only thing I can think of.
