How to tell?
How do I know exactly what specific parts are on my car? For example, the transmission, all i know is that it works, i dont know what model it is or anything.
Sorry for seeming like an idiot.

There is a code on the driver side door that has all the information it. Google is your friend here. ITll tell you about the transmission, engine paint code transmission etc.
FYI 2003, if its a 5 speed is a tremec tr3650 tranmission.

Here is the VIN and VC (Vehicle Certification) tag decoding info from the 2003 shop manual.
Your car has a 4.6 L 2V (2 valves per cylinder) SOHC¹ (Single OverHead Cam) engine built in Ford's Romeo, Michigan plant, and as Steve said a Tremec 3650 transmission; which contrary to a lot of the noise you will hear is a well-designed, robust and competent unit.
The final drive ("rear-end") gear ratio is 3.27:1. it is common that these be changed to 3.73:1 or 4.10:1 to achieve faster acceleration (and faster gear shifting).
Here is a link to some further info about your '03.
And, just to make sure you take care of that pony, here is Ford's recommended maintenance schedule, and you can download an Owner's Manual here...

¹ - There are actually two camshafts, but only one on each bank of cylinders.
