The MAF sensor has to get non turbulent air to function right.sometimes you can turn it a few degrees and get it into straight air.The screen in front of the MAF needs to be installed at right angles to the sensor element if the FIPK part uses it.Hope this helps.

Did you plug the MAF and IAT back up?

Yeah that's sort of what I was thinking... the kit isn't supposed to reuse the screen though.

Blanket replay to all who have PM'd about buying this off of me:

I need a few days to figure out if I can make this work OK first...like a week... if not then I'm selling the whole kit w/filter since the filter won't fit the stock intake tubing.. so I'll need more $ than the $30 that I first posted... at LEAST enough for me to buy a k&n filter so I won't get totally raped on the purchase...

Thank you for your patience.

dude. something is hooked up wrong or you have a serious leak somewhere.

Does the car idle like **** and want to stall?

Pay attention the arrow on your MAF, make sure it is pointing in the right direction.

Stupid question. Did you accidentally drop or otherwise rough up your MAF? It sounds like it's bad. I would disconnect it and see if your running worse or not. If nothing changes, then a new MAF is in order.

(A bad IAT would run fine until it warmed up, so I doubt that it's bad)
