hey man if you want a brand new bassani off road X.. I got one that is still in the box.. I bought it but then I bought long tubes and now I need to buy a VRS x pipe that will fit the long tubes... let me know.. I am selling it way below what u will have to pay for a bran dnew one and it is brand new...

as for mods... timing adjusters work well, FIRST MOD U GOTTA DO IS A SHIFTER MAN... get a tri ax... they are cheap and they make a HUGE difference over the stock crap... also think about pullies or if u are real daring like me... go all out... do heads and cams and long tubes and a vortech s trim with aftercooler ... then u can toy with those damn ls1's all day long... I love stomping all over the bowtie... but that is just me

I HAVE LOOKED INTO THID DEEPLY. IT IS THE MODS BECAUSE THE POWER IS TOO MUCH TO READ SO THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT GOES ON. YOU NEED A MIL ELIMINATOR WHICH WILL TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM. IT WILL SET YOU BACK ABOUT 60 DOLLARS. LOOK AT JEGS.COM. THE SAME THING HAPPENS WHEN YOU PUT ON A HIGH FOLWING EXHAUST SYSTEM OR HEADERS OR H/X PIPES. IT GOES ON TO LET THE PERSON PUTTING ON YOUR INSPECTION STICKER TO GO FURTHER INTO THE EXAM. WHERE I LIVE ITS A PAIN IN THE *** BUT IF YOU DON'T NEED TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS FOR YOUR STATE THEN YOUR ALL SET BUT I STILL PREFER THE MIL ELIMINATOR SO IT DOESN'T IRRITATE YOU.

That's not what the light is there for.

The light there to tell you something is WRONG. When the light comes on, timing is pulled & the air/fuel ratio is richened.

With my x-pipe the check engine light is on, but truthfully I've seen no difference if its on or off? I'm having a hard time believing that because my little light is on the car is running different besides the change from the mods....."?"

Then you aren't paying attention very well to your gas mileage and your just not capable of feeling performance decreases. Over time it can be damaging to continue driving your car this way. Get some MIL eliminators if you have an offroad x-pipe, if you don't have one then you have another issue to look into.
