S/C setup

S/C setup
I am looking at a S/C setup for my car. I already have 70 mmTB, ported upper intake, and Steeda pulleys on it. The question is will I need to go back to the stock pulleys to run the S/C or are the two compatible?

Bump - I can't believe it! No answers yet!</P>
Another question - With stock internals, I am planning about 8-10 psi. I was leaning toward 42 lb injectors with a Walbro 255 lph pump, but will 30 or 36 lb meet my needs?</P>

Check out the Mongoose kit from here. http://www.modularfordpowerhouse.com/Tim can answer any and all questions about a supercharger set up.</P>
You can't use underdrive pullies with a supercharger. </P><edited><editID>Snydaleid</editID><editDate>37972.9809490741</editDate></edited>

you'll have to go back to your stock crank pulley, the others can stay assuming you can get the belt to fit properly. </P>
you are mad if you want to push more than 6lbs on stock internals. granted its a good type of mad but insane nonetheless. 8 lbs is really pushing it, 10 is way too much. if you want 8 or 10 and want more than 10k extra miles from that motor, save yourself alot of trouble later by putting in forged internals now.</P>

Stock internals not being able to handle 8lbs safely? Now I must admit this is news to me. Every S/C kit that I have researched has advertised 8-10 psi ready to set-up on a stock engine (7psi with a paxton). The folks at the performance shops I have talked with told me the same thing, that 8-10 was safe.Do you have personal experience that says otherwise? I appreciate the help so I definitely want to know.</P>
If I need to get forged internals first, what would you rec Monch? I am looking around now and not finding much for an '02 GT other than FRPP PI heads. What have you got on your '03?</P>
I'll probably send Tim an E-mail, that Mongoose kit looks greatbut I also have now started giving the Saleen kit a second look.</P>
