97 GT totaled
well friday night my 97 gt got hit and it looks pritty much totaled. does any one know about how much i will get from my insurance company? the car has 100,000 miles on it and its loaded. the adjuster came today and said that theres over $5500 worth of damage, and he said that they will probaly call it totaled.....how do i make a file smaller so i can post a pic?

time to get an 07 gt500? my moms pt cruiser got hit almost exactly like your stang, and it was around $5500 dollars to fix. her car was worth like 11-12 grand and they didnt call it totaled, but your gt is worth close to 6-7 grand. i dont see it being worth fixing unless you can do the work yourself. if you got full coverage they will cover it.

Whats that, A new bumper, trunk lid, and rear quarter panel. Doesnt look like a total to me. Does it have frame damage? If not, tell me what junkyard that cars going to, cuz id like that as a project

Believe it or not, your car lists for just under 5 grand. Kinda sucks if you ask me. Therefore, its a goner. You can let the insurance company total the car, pay you what its worth, then basically buy the car back for next to nothing. Then you would have to pick up the difference in the repar job of course which may be worth it only if you think the car is worth saving. I used to work in a body shop so im pretty familiar in how the insurance companies work with situations like this.
