Canned tune then gears ???

Canned tune then gears ???
Quick question just bought an SCT tuner and I'm kinda anxious to use it when it arrives. I have 3.73 gears that have yet to be installed. My question is can I use the pre loaded (canned) tunes now and when I get the gears installed in a month or so can I still change the gear ratio in the tuner to fix the speedo at any time?

yeah, when you load the tune there are more options in there, one of them is rear end gear ratio or something like that, and you go in there and just choose 3.73's!! Its very easy, the shop that i got my gear done at actually took my tuner and did it for me

Spent the bulk of my start up money on exterior items 2003 cobra wheels , springs, M&M caster and camber plates , grille delete.... then exhaust...... Now working on speed. Want to do heads and cams , but it's my DD so cant be without it too long.

Doing some research and I'm sure I will understand the tuner better when recieved. I plan on using the strategy tune (canned) when I get it in the next few days. Then down the road get my gears installed and want to change the ratio. Alot of post have people going into the "custom tune" section on the tuner for user options to do this? Is this right ? Or is there a different menu section.

I had the 4.10's in my hand at Brothers Performance and kinda let the guy talk me out of them. He said guys were usually afraid to commit to the 4.10's. And I guess I was one of those people. lol I'm not expecting a miracle. I'm just working on it alittle at a time. Down the road maybe heads and cams or a kenne bell just depends where I'm at in life.

I will , I dont make a whole lot of money and have 2 kids so I have to be smart or sly depending if the ol' lady's around. lol When I got rid of my 05' and got this I figured it wouldn't be too bad ..... but 2 grand later and only a few bolt ons I'm scratching my head wondering what the hell happened to all the money!!! lmao Looks like your car is a beast ! Maybe one day I'll have something like that. You in Missouri ? I went to high school in Washington, Mo. not sure if you know where that is.
