Default Headers for GT

I'm going to be in the market for a set of headers soon. I like the looks of the SLP longtubes. Expensive but what the hell.
Nothing like the sound or performance of lt's. (IMO) Anyone have experience with these headers??? Any comments appreciate!!!

I do not have any personal experience, but I have heard that long tubes are a b***h to install. But the performace and sound is like no other.

I heard that they were tough to install but I think that they'll be worth it. I work at a dealership and can use a lift. Doesn't look as bad standing underneath the car.

I am going with SLP Long Tubes in the fall FYI (to complete my SLP full system). I’ve heard many good things about em. Will pay to have em installed – not about to sign myself up for that kinda torment…

yeah i paid 400 for my long tubes. i have a lift in my shop and i did it myself. the instructions say that you need to jack up the motor but that still wont work with out some elbow grease. plan on having ur k-member dropped and it is so much easier than it sounds. all u need is to brace up the motor and take it off and move the steering rack aside. my car ran better with headers than it did with manifolds.

What do you mean you like the look? your gonna barely be able to see your headers while looking at your engine. So your going with the complete SLP set up right? do you have a mid pipe in mind get that done while your in there.

I think he ment performance wise, not actual looks. lol. But the SLP's are good headers. They make great everything!
