Hi all,

New GT owner here. I've been having a problem with my Stang lunging while idling. I have an automatic transmission so I have to physically put on the brake and can feel the car jumping. If I slip into neutral or park, the engine continues to run rough. This happens in both drive and reverse, and seems to happen less when the A/C is on. Once you give it a little gas everything is great, until you begin to idle again.

Any ideas as to what is causing it?

Like it idles fine for a few seconds (10 -20) and then all of a sudden a idle surge and the car wants to take off, and then it drops back down?

I get that all the time.
