Default Damage help

I'm 17 and my Dad pretty much gave me his 2002 mustang. about a month or 2 after getting my license i lost control of my car in the rain and hit the guard rail. I've never gotten around to fix it and my parents wont let me do a lot of things because of it. i wanted to know how much the damage might cost. Since i dont have a picture of it, i'll show you the damage.

the outlined spot is where all the damage is, it's not much but it kinda is. Any help is appreciated. Note that that is the only part of the car with damage. thats also not my car, just one found on google.

Depending on how hard you hit the rail, will dictate what the cost and what is involved to fix it. Without some pictures of your actual damage, there is no way to give you any real answer.

Several pics from different directions are needed.

$800+ is my guess

They will have to strip that quarter panel so they can pull it back out. Then they will have to smooth that all out and repaint the entire quarter panel. The bumper might be ok, but there is a possibility that it could need to be replaced and repainted. Paint is probably gonna run ~$400 and then labor will be a good bit also.

I had a quote to fix my door and it was $677, and this was my damage.

I'd expect 800 or more because of were the damage is, it also depends on where you live just take it to a body shop they will tell you what they will have to do and give you an estimate(should be free to get). It wouldn’t hurt to ask them.

Just take it to a body shop, have them get you an estimate. If I had to guess the price i'd say it'll be more along the lines of $1,000 +, but of course different shops will more than likely have a different price tag.

And because I know you like to hear advice.

Guard rails are normally along a turn/curve and a lot of the time you only lose control if you step on it (on a turn), and if it's raining you barley have to tap the gas to lose control. Take it easy on turns, trust me, it may save your life one day.
