I have the Mac off road h-pipe and S.L.P. loud mouth 2 mufflers and it sounds like a truck when I accelerate, but when I go at a steady R.P.M it sounds deep and nice. So what do I need to do to get the truck sound leave? Do I need to buy a chamber muffler? Or what?
the setup that you have seems like it would be awesome. i dont see how it would sound like a truck.

It’s too poppy when accelerating. I think I am going with Mac cat back system, I think I like the chamber sound better. Maybe the 4v sounds different than the 2v motor. I don’t know ?

Ha, yeah right. Sounding like a dump truck is the nature of SLP... more so the lm1s than the lm2s, but with an o/r pipe on the 2s, the same thing is achieved.

How many of you who commented on SLP's have had SLP's?

I've had:

Stock H
Magnaflow X
Mac H

Flowmasters
Magnaflows
SLP I's

Didn't anyone tell you that an O/R pipe was going to be loud and pop? I know I've said it 100 times. With an o/r H, I would go mac or magnaflow. With a catted pipe, I would go loudmouths.

Hey Bill, give me a call and me and tanner can swing by and take a look at it. I think I heard you go by the other day and it didnt sound normal so I would definately check for any leaks. also you did get the MIL eliminators correct? you'll need em with the o/r pipes.

everyone has there own opinion. to one, it could sound really good, or to him it might sound like a truck. have someone drive the car by you, your exhaust sounds alot different from inside the car to outside.
