2004 Mach 1 wrecked. How about some parts

Aight - so I gutted my interior on the 97 and didnt a swap for another year, but I did do pretty much everything in the car.
Yeah - it's a pain in the butt.
If your car is hot, pull everything and dynamat the heck outta it. You might even double up on the tranny tunnel too... If you do the interior swap, do yourself a favor and buy new carpet. I paid $120 for all new carpet from latemodelrestoration.com. As for the rest, you're looking at some minor modding but nothing that hasnt already been pointed out.
I only did it because when we got the car, the interior had been road hard and put up wet. It was truly disgusting. Also - a LOT easier to do in a 'vert so have fun with scraped knees, knocked heads, etc...cuz itll be tight in a coupe.
Last thing - DO NOT DYE ANYTHING. Every one that I tried sucked and every other person who has done it...it looks like crap!! Just don't do it!
If they are willing to part with the entire interior for that price and you say its in good shape...I'd do it. I spent easily triple that on mine. 1000 for full leather on front seats, 400 for rear seat top and bottom, door panels about 300 a piece, 400 rewrapped steering wheel...it adds up really really fast. But I have to admit, it is a new interior. I even replaced every button and switch except the environmental controls and the stereo...but the stereo is getting swapped this weekend.

Glad to hear the encouragement. The 04 has very nice carpet. Looked very nice. I will be shampooing it and vacuuming it before it goes in as well. 04 non smoker 70kmiles. Not a single dirt mark. Even after the wreck. I know this because when i looked at it. Front back and consolr was already removed and he was working on the dash. Good advice on the dyeing. Ill need to research on how rough a job it is. Electrical. Airbags. Etc.
Does anyone know if dynamat is fireproof?

Well, none of the stuff that Im aware of is fireproof, but here's a little chart that GTMAT put together. They are using 240 degrees as a dilineator. I can say it definitely cuts down on heat...even the FATMAT.

They comment on the asphalt smell because it's a major component in some sound deadening materials. I used FAT MAT and honestly, I smelled it the first week or so slightly but it went away.
Thats good about the carpet. It will definitely fit better than any aftermarket so that's good!

Dynamat extreme says up to 300degrees. Would that be enough for under the hood for example? I know turbos can throw some head. I know my charger wont get as hot as a turbo...but 300? Im sure 300 is fine for the interior. And much lower. But under the hood.....my paint is already cracking in the center.

I'm pretty sure the dash will bolt in but I'm not sure about the wiring. Are you using all your wiring or leaving the Mach's wiring hooked to the dash and plugging it in?As for the dye,the most important step is cleaning the parts thoroughly first.I used a couple of light tack coats first then got a little heavier each time.
