Dont forget the valves should be lashed and have the points checked.

Probably the serpentine belt ($65) & plugs ($30) + 1hr labor. $200 for both wouldnt be to unfair.

I changed my belt this week-end. I had to remove ProCharger to do it & still took less than an hour. If its stock, belt change takes about 2 min if your slow.


Edit; I was quoted last year $1200 to check "base timing". Which is just to get access to timing chains to make sure one didnt jump a tooth. Then add parts if replacement is needed.

Dont take your stang to any shop. Make sure thay are familiar with stangs
