98 GT Car will not start, no theft light
So I went out to start my car this morning, clutch to the ground, and turn the key. Nothing......
Power comes on the dash, Radio came on, no problem. I was driving it last night no problem at all. Tho, I know my transmission is going out as I get a synchro grind in third some times and can't get into 5th at all. When I backed up, I couldn't get it into reverse, I forced it, it went in, then I couldn't get it out of reverse. But I had stopped it and started it again, no problem. I drove it home and parked it.
Then this morning no start.
So I took my jump pack, battery reads 12.1 volts, turn the jump back on, I get 13.6 volts, I try to start, still nothing.
Theft light is not flashing....
What the hell? Clutch is all the way to the floor.....
When I tore into the back, I find the keyless entry system, but no anti-theft there...
I tested the NSS, unplugged the circuit (Looks like a round plug with a slider through it, pictured below)
It's what the wires in the top left corner plugs in too.
So, I unplugged the switch and jumped it with a paper clip. Then tried to start, nothing. So I took a DMM and hooked the positive to the jumper, the negative to a metal ground. If you go to start, you'll see in the video below, it shows 9.8 Volts DC.
I also took the jumpers out, plugged it back in, took the probes on the DMM and put it in each of the wires on the backside of the plug and tested it. Same result each time.
So there is 9.8Volts DC going out and in of that switch. So that part works. Whats the next thing upstream?

I did that and then some. Tested all fuses with a test light, Pulled and swapped relays and found a bad relay.
But even after I swapped the relay, it wouldn't work. Tested, and made sure there is power coming to the relay. You can also hear the relay click when you turn the key.
