Default T/B spacer

Anyone have a spacer on their t/b? If so, what kinds of gains have you seen by having it? It is supposed to give you a little better gas mileage and some HP from my understanding. I had one and seen a decrease by about 1.5 mpg and no difference in performance in any way. Also, after putting my BBK CAI on, it whistled like crazy. After taking spacer off it was tollerable with alot less whistle. Anyone experience the same???

I have the spacer for between the upper and lower intake manifold. When I put it on, it seemed to make my car run smoother. I haven't heard anything, cept what you just told me bout the T/B spacer.

i could understand the whistling if you bought a new t/b plenium combo, but im not sure about just a CAI. you might want to check all your clamps and along the tubing to make sure there isnt a hole open. also if its a fenderwell mounted filter, you might not have gotten the filter all the way on

I have both upper/lower and tb spacer. I like them and they were cheap. Very easy to install, and i had mine ported and polished when i had my plenum done. Just to make sure that it wasnt the restricting peice in the intake. I would suggest getting one, b/c its a mod and its like $4.lol Just try it

No, everything is the way it should be. Checked everything. (which isnt much) Anyway, if the filter wasnt on all the way and tightened down, then it would fall off. When the spacer is in, it spins the air kinda like a tornado. That has something to do with the reason that it makes that whistleing sound. Like I said before, with it off its tollerable. Can only hear a little bit of suction which cant be avoided with an aftermarket fenderwall intake according to some people ive talked to.
