the car im driving now is a 1996 gt the only thing ive done to it is a bonz cold air intake and some american racing rims but i also have a 1989 5.0 HO which is the better/faster car

the 96 gt was the first year they put in the 4.6 and wasnt such a great year for the 4.6 engine. i would mod the hell out of the '89

if you want to mod stuff, the 5.0 is the way to go cause you can do twice as much for less $$. right now, I'd say the 5.0 is faster but not by much. a 99+ will beat both.

if you have both cars, why do you need to ask the question? you should drive both and figure it out.

well the 1996 gt has a 1998 police interceptor motor in it . and the 89 is my friends i was just wandering because we are always racing and arguing bout whos is / could be faster

Well. Could be means alot. I could put 100k in my car and blow away anything that even thought about running me. But the 5.0 has more potential because you can get more mods and get them cheaper then the 4.6.
