^ditto, in addition to changing the COP boots at 80 to 100k miles they should be replaced any time they have been compromised by water, oil, coolant or anything other than air--which is the environment they were designed to work in...

No, just leaked around the thermostat housing down into the valley. I don't think anything went into the plug area from what I remember seeing.

I replaced the manifold because I thought it was cracked. Turned out to be the gasket around the thermostat housing. Oh well something new! I remember a quote from my old jeep days. "Its not getting older, its getting newer part by part".
