so a moron put my fixed wheel back on...
The guy who put my wheel back on my car, after i had it fixed, forgot to remove the washers that i used for the stock wheel lug nuts. so the wheel almost came off on my way back from a car show. i got 4 of the lugnuts off, but the last one has stiped the threads and snapped the bolt off. so obviously im gonna make these idiots pay for the damage, but exactly what would be needed to fix this? do i replace the whole unit with the bolts? or just the one that was snapped off?
Go to any parts store and get the wheel studs for your car. Take a hammer and knock the bad ones out through the back. You might have to remove the caliper to do it. Put the new ones in and use the nut when you tighten the wheel to set them in place. They are under a buck each. Check the nuts and replace those if needed also.
You can just remove the snapped one and replace it. There is two ways to do it on an 8.8 stick axle. Shave one side of the stud flat and slide it in at a certain point of the rotor, or pull the C clips and slide the axle out and press it in that way.
