i have a 99 gt and the fuel pump will only prime sometimes. when it doesnt prime it barely starts sometimes just doesnt start but if it does jus runs poorly. when fuel pump does prime starts right away and rums ok but sometimes starts to run poorly as time goes on. i have replaced the fuel pump also.

Well it sounds like you have a bad fuel pump. How long ago was it installed?

thats what i thought the original problem was cause did the same thing to the stock fuel pump so i replaced it couple days ago with a 255 lph and ran good and primed then went right back to not priming ect like the stock one

Did you check for a short in the wires when you had it out?

yeah i did everything looked ok in the tank. ive had a engine light come up about 4 months ago but the car ran fine so i didnt get it scanned but i ordered a predator to get the codes hopeing i can fdigure it out. i posted just to see if anyone had any other ideas what it could be
