Help with exhaust pleaseeeee to loud!
Hello guys its my first post and I wanted to know what are my options for my situation. i have 2003 mach 1 that im completely in love with lol. i first got an slp loudmouth 1 catback and i enjoyed it. i just installed an off road h pipe and its way to much for me. i was wondering what can i do to quiet it down ? install high flow cats or just reinstall the stock mid pipe?? thanks guys

I'm not familiar with the "loudmouth" but is it a muffler or a glass pack?
Glasspacks are usually not too loud at idle but with RPM's they get very loud.
A flowmaster for example is throaty even at idle and light throttle but doesn't peak as loud as a glasspack at higher RPM's.
Flowmaster 40 series are the popular mufflers to run. Throaty and loud enough to hear, but not insane.
And if even that is too loud, they make some a little more mild than that.
I installed true duals on my 2003 Dodge Dakota 4.7 V8 4X4 and ran 2 1/2" duals through dual glasspacks and out 3 1/2" tailpipes. It was so friggin loud!
It was awesome in the city. Especially because I installed 4.56 gears and it liked to go through the gears :-)
But when I towed or was on the highway it was too much and I went back to Flowmaster 40 series.

I also have heard that Flowmaster is the best choice for the 4.6. I have a catback exhaust with the Super 40's and it sounds great. It is deep, throaty, and doesn't have very much drone inside. Good luck bud.

SLP is my favorite sounds. just see about some slip ons for the tips. silencers or what ever they are called. use them as Daily driver and then weekend fun take them off ;D

You could throw a pair of SLP LM2's on. The SLP CB is modular so they'd swap right over. They would definitely quiet it down a bit.

I've heard a lot people talk about how much they like the flowmaster super 44's but if you want to quite it down they also make a 50 seriese delta flow 3 chamber muffler that is quiter without giving up power
