Those aren't thte 4 prong platinum bosch plugs are they? if so trash em.

No no no, I'm using the Bosche OEM replacements. I can't remember the number off the top of my head. The 9606 plugs if memory serves right. Which it does.

Any other tools you guys think I might need? I need to add the harmonic balancer removal tool to that I think. I was under the impression that was part of the small block though.

After careful consideration, I've opted to not do it myself for my first major repair. As many have said, it's a real pain, and after spending an evening reading and looking and googling and tinkering, it's better to let this one go to a mechanic the first time. I'm starting UTI next month and there I'll hopefully learn how to do these kinds of repairs, but right now it'd be too costly if I make a mistake.

EDIT: So the guy called me about the other head. I had mentioned that I'd like the other head's gaskets replaced since I'm providing the whole set. He's taking the head to be machined with a valve job and all that. Only an extra $100.
