Default Accelerates after put into Park

Yesterday I cleaned the throttle body with Throttle Body Cleaner. I disconnected the air intake and the two pipes that attach to it. After I was done, I put it back together, then turned the car on and let it idle for a couple of minutes. Then, I took the car for a drive.

After the drive, I put the car in Park, and the car accelerated to about 1k RPM for about 3 seconds, then it went back down to the 700s.

The car accelerates itself whenever it is put into park. What could have caused this? Is it the butterfly valve sticking open? The throttle positioning sensor that needs to be cleaned? Or maybe a hose?

Recheck the hoses, and the TB. Check the hoses for cracks ,leaks etc. Did you remove the TPS sensor?

No I didn't remove the sensor. I was going to but the screws were on there pretty tight. Should I remove it and spray it with some TB cleaner?

You should take 96t-bird's advice.

This sounds normal. When ever the engine is relieved of the car being in drive, it will raise rpms for a moment.

Yeah, but I never noticed it until now that it jumps up about 300 RPM. Maybe because I cleaned the TB and it now breathes a bit easier.

It could be the iac too. The moving parts could be moving more freely inside it.
