Default Shorty headers?

where can I get a good set of headers and x pipe at a decent price? How big of a difference this this make on your cars and was it worth it? I have a K&N cai, predator tuner and custom cat back exhaust already.

You will love the shorty headers(i would reccomend LT if u got the $) It, along with hi-flow cats really opened up my exhaust. It sounds alot better, although it probably didnt do too much for performance. I got my FRPP headers for 250, and i am pleased. Make sure you do something to ur cats and midpipe. Headers and catback would be restricted by stock cats and midpipe.

Shorty hearders are better than the stock manifolds. I believe the FRPP shorty headers gain about 8 HP. Not a huge gain for the $$$ if you ask me. For 250 bucks you can snag a Timing Adjuster and Underdrive Pulleys and get about 15 hp if not more... But, if you are set on shorties, JBA has some nice tuned length shorties, more effecient than the FRPP shorties. The FRPP shorties all run into the same single piece of tubing, Unlike the JBA or even the BBK shorties. Those are the two brands I would suggest. Of course don't forget your midpipe! O/R pipes sounds sweet if you don't have emissions to worry about, and they are cheaper too. BBK sells good quality/priced midpipes.

Yes they can be installed without removeing the mid pipe. They are just like the stock manifold but a lot better.

first off i got my bbk's through Summitracing.com and my xpipe through uprproducts.com i was happy with both. price headers 300 xpipe 150 o2 sims 50 so about 500 but i do think the sims and xpipe have gone down.

i dont see how you could put the headers in with the mid pip in place you really need the working room its not a big deal to drop it out the the car just 8 bolts and your o2's

I don't know what year stang you drive, but I've found the FRPP jet hot shorties for my '04 on ebay for $335. That is an excellent price, especially for jet hot coated.

Whatever you decide on headers, spend the $$$ for ceramic coating.

I was thinking of buying shorties also. For the ease of the install.

Do they free up that much less power than long tubes? Or is the difference pretty unnoticeable?
