I have a manual shift 1999 mustang gt convertible. There is a switch you can flip on/off next to the traction control button. I do not know what it does. Also there is another button I do not know what it does, It is next to the convertible button and when you flip it a little orange light goes on but I do not know what it does. I've had the car for about a year now and it didnt come with an owners manual. Anyone have any ideas?

I don't own a 1999 and I think the button locations are different on 2001-2004s, but you should have a fog light switch and a defroster switch along with traction control defeat.

 

Alright so the button next to the convertible button is for the fog lamps. I checked the pdf manual and I did not find the info for the on/off button next to my traction control button.

 

A photo might help. I don't even know if the button you're asking about is stock.

 

On my '01 there are three buttons including traction control below the radio. From left to right they are; Defrost, Traction Control, Fog Lights. There is no button beside the convertible button. Is it possible this is an after market add-on?

 

Fog lights were on the console for 99-2000

 

Idk. Do convertables have rear defrosters?

 

My 2003 Vert has a glass rear window and a rear defrost

 

 

Its the button in the middle. Its not for the fog lights, that button is near the e-brake.
