Yes she is, synchro's are on their way out. What kind of Mustang do you have? GT/Mach 1 or a Cobra?

No, take it in now. If they say it's not a problem, then at least they have a record of when the syncs starting going south, and they can't deny they didn't know about the problem. I had a problem with my 03 Mach not wanting to shift into 3rd gear from 2nd, and the local Ford house would not touch it. So, I contacted the regional Ford manager and complained to him. Well, about a week later, the local Ford house recalled my car, and they replaced all of the syncronizers at no cost to me. I also added the Steeda Tri-X short shifter, and beefed up the clutch. Now, she shifts without a problem. So, go to the regional manager if you get turned down by the locals.

Do you have a Tremec 3650 5-speed? If so you can first try draining the factory fluid and re-filling with 3.0L (3.2 quarts) of Dexron III. It worked on mine, as well as eliminating an occasional third gear lockout. If you are changing shifters that is an excellent time to change the fluid, as the open shifter hole makes a very convenient place to refill the transmission.

Not a recall, it's a TSB. Huge difference....
