Default jmod help

OK I have a 2000 ft auto. I did the jmod and all went well. No when the car shifts into overdrive it seems to take a while. It almost feels like it slips a little then engages. Its no clean and smooth like before. Is this normal? Did I do something wrong?

Jmod is a somewhat simple mod you can do to the valve body by drilling holes in it that from what I understand pretty much changes the way it shifts much like an automatic shift kit or a performance valve body. I haven't done this to my car so I wouldn't know if it was normal, but try dropping down your transmission pan and check to see if there aren't any chunks of metal in there just to be on the safe side.

You're welcome! And the Jmod is only specific to automatic transmissions. It's supposed to help the car shift as fast as a manual transmission.

You drilled holes? In your valve body? And expected not to have issues? Hahahahaha Brilliant. Next time get a tuner.

@Stevo it's a known cheap mod to get the same effect as buying a shift kit or a performance valvebody if done correctly. It's fairly simple to do if you follow the instructions correct though I'd never modify the valvebody myself. I'd rather spend the $300 for the valvebody than having to replace the entire transmission.

It's actually a popular modification for auto trans.
