What gas will you have to run if you bolt on this (or any 8psi SC) SC to a 98 gt? 91? 93? or will 89 be ok? (about 70-80hp more w/ this sc)

91 at a minimum. 93 if you can get it.
Umm, you really need to look into larger injectors, a recalibrated MAF, and a tuner if you don't have those. I'm only saying this, because that kit is bare bones and you didn't mention any of those items. You may need to retard the timing a bit, too.
coolblueperformance on ebay has 80, 85, or 95mm MAFs by Pro M for like 269, and they will calibrated if for you (you have to supply some information). This is a REALLY good price, especially for the 95mm.
Like trbuddy, look into a larger tb/plenum, also.

When I installed my S/C I had a bigger 90mm MAF installed but when we calibrated the chip we had numeros problems with the big MAF and I switched back to the stock one, which works just fine. I think it does not need a bigger MAF but I agree that it needs bigger injectors. And yes watch the timing (detonation).

Yeah, the 85mm is probably the best in this instance, anyway. The stock one is 80 or 85.
Here is the link to the Pro M I spoke of:

Also, rpmoutlet.com has their MOTOBLUE line of MAFs housings which use your existing sensor. You have to be really careful during the swap so as not to damage the sensor.

Prochargers are good! You will need atleast 91 for it. But you can work all that out in your tune after the install.

RE: 8psi SC = higher octane gas requirments??
When you put a blower on your car you WANT to upgrade fuel equipment....fuel pump, injectors, filter. When you install the blower, best bet is to go get a DYNO TUNE as no car is 100% identical for a "regular" chip tune you can online, over the counter etc. When you do get the tune you can upgrade the MAF just the same for better flow and calibrate it to the injectors you have installed. Minimum as stated for gas would be 91..you NEVER want to put low quality gas when you have a blower....it will give you issues. If you can actually get 93....I would use it. We only get up to 91 here unless you driver for a LOOONG time to get 93 in a hole in the ground.

Gee guys, this seems familiar. Thanks autobadges for confirming this for Stang9946.
